I actually bought some feeder goldies for 10 cents at petsmart
All the others like the nice ones can go between $2 - $20 dollars a piece, depending what you want to have and what size of tank you have
It's very important to do some research on the fish you want to get, especially on what size of tank you need to get them, they can grow really really big

goldfish are priced at petsmart and petco at about 5.99 for the small orandas and about 2.99 for the small fan tails. Always Always Always check and see if the tanks of the same type of fish around the fish your interested in have dead or sick(lethargic fin rot rapid gill movement) in them. At these stores same types are usually runing off the same filters. Ammonia levels can be high if there are dead fish and if sick there could be alot of stress causeing bacteria in the water. You usually can find goldfish cheaper at locally owned and operated stores. Always best to shop around. You may find a really nice goldfish you like at a petsmart or petco but it may not work out after you take it home.

petsmart is far cheaper than petco, petco goldfish can range from 6 dollars to 15 dollars.

At my Petsmart and Petco, they cost around $4~5. Walmart should sell them for cheaper (or so I've heard). I don't trust Walmart for live creatures though... just my opinion.

it depends if you want a fancy goldfish or a comet or the feeder kind.
the feeders are like a quater but the fancy ones can go from 4 to 20 dollars depending on type and size

They are relatively cheap! They range anywhere from$1.00 to $5.00...Your best bet is to check out the PETSMART or PETCO websites!
