The game of pool where their is little option for a player who finds himself along the rail with the eight ball between the cue and other balls.

Comes from the game of pool. It ususlly becomes a problem in the game "eight ball" where the number 8 ball is supposed to be left on the table or should be sunk last. When the player is down to his last ball and finds himself in a position where he is unable to sink that ball because the eight ball is between the cue ball and the ball with which he can win the game, he is said to be "behind the eight ball."

billards or pool whatever u wanna call it. the 8 ball is a very unlucky shot. u must chose which hole u think it will go in. and if it goes in a different one u lose. so it means ur in a sticky sitch
