Living in the moment is enjoying the now, whatever you're doing, whether it's being with a lover or playing with your kids, without stressing about the future, especially things you cannot control. Living for the moment is a way of life as opposed to your attitude during certain events, where you NEVER think about the future, you always just do what you think will make you happy right now never mind the consequences.
Good Q.

You are waiting for your wedding night , dreaming how great will be the Moment.. this is waiting for the moment. When you are just enjoying for what you waited without giving your mind to what will be next or how great it was in past .. is called living the moment
actually to live in the moment is very spiritual significant.. and one can achieve this state with great efforts and practice under the guidance of a Master

Well, I think that living FOR the moment implies some sort of willfullness or action. What can you do right now, what opportunies should you be taking advantage of. Living in the moment for me just means not thinking of the past or future, but instead realizing that only the present moment is real. If you live IN the moment, there is no worry, regret, anxiety about the past or future.

To live in the moment is live life as it comes but live for the moment is dwell on one point in time, if only had done this she would have stayed with me and that is all you can think of. There are times when someone will think about something in their past and would love to go back and change it, that's okay but to make your life revolve around that moment.

In my own opinion the difference between the living in the moment and living for the moment is that;
- LIVING IN the moment is living in the way things as is without any expections to come.....
while LIVING FOR the moment is living in the way things as is but expecting something to come out or expecting some results. Means that your planning what you are living for....

My thought is that "living in the moment" is being mindful of the small details of anything that is happening, but "living for the moment" is more like seeking out excitement.
Make sense? :)

Living IN the moment is passive and requires nothing more than existing.
Living FOR the moment is active and requires actions that affect your surroundings.

Living for the moment is sitting their waiting for it to come to you. Living in the moment is pursuing that moment or reaching the moment that you pursuited. it's in relations with another thing my momma use to say "close mouth's don't get fed" and "life ain't something that jumps on your lap and say i love you"... okay that one is mine but newayz you can't think that a moment will come to you, you have to pursue it to make it that moment you visioned.
GOOD LUCK N LYFE
