Reminds me of Elizabeth Barrett , who later became Browning. The poet and thinker.

I really like the name Garrett, it's not too common, but not at all strange or made up sounding. I think it would be a great name for a boy (and a man for that matter, since these little ones do grow up and will have the same name!)

I had a friend named Garret. It was spelled differently either one R or one T and he was very particular about people getting it right. So instead I just called him by his last name which sounded cooler.
