The NFL should treat him the same way he treated the dogs, with absolutely no compassion. He should be repudiated by the NFL and by the Falcons and treated like the hoodlum he is and should be banned from the NFL for life.
You can write to the NFL commissioner by clicking on the following website. You can also send an e-mail to the Atlanta Falcons letting them know how you feel.

He should first be kicked out of the NFL for good. Next, he should be considered not guilty and tried After he is found guilty, lock him up for a very looooong time. I am so very disgusted with what he was involved with. I always admired his ability over the years. But, he's got money and he'll probably get off with a slap on his wrist.

He could start by doing 2000 hours of community service working at a humane society cleaning dog crap out of cages and then we'll go from there.
There's a statistic somewhere that says a lot of guys in prison abused animals at some point in their lives -Really

If there was such a thing as real justice he should be hung, shot, electricuited, his head slammed on the ground and then drowned. I am a true believer in the eye for an eye theory. But what will probally happen if he is found guilty= community service, NFL suspension and $$fine. You or me would be in jail for 2-5 yrs.

Actually....
I am hearing the reverse from the "experts." The experts say that normally this would not be a federal case (even with them saying that he traveled across state lines). The experts say that normally it would carry a penalty of a year in prison, not 6 years like he's facing.
I am NOT defending him in anyway. I think that people who operate these types of rings should be put away much longer than a year - BUT, to say "if this was some average Joe", they would be put away and "never heard from again" is not actually fact. It just seems like it SHOULD be fact....
That is, IF the experts are actually right.

IF convicted, he should receive the appropriate State and Federal penalties for the crimes brought against him...
What the NFL should do is go back to putting "morality" clauses in every players contract... so that when they break the law and peace... the League and the Teams can yank the contract and leave the idiot out in the cold.
In this case, the NFL should penalize him a year's salary, and THEN ban him from football for eternity.

He should be in prison for the rest of his life. He is a lowlife and should be tortured like those poor dogs. He's a jerk with too much money and not enough sense.

He should get MORE than what either me or you would get in court....part of being a celebrity is showing face....they get more than we do in life being celeb status, so why not get harsher penalties...they are after all not only screwing their own lives up, but messing with millions of others, whether strictly on a fan basis or on a level as holding them in idol status....I am a Birds fan, and I wont allow my son to wear the numver 7 anymore

He was charged with the crime, stood trial, found guilty, and sentenced to federal prison. He served his time, and was released. No where in his sentencing was he prohibited from playing football again. Is it justice? Yes. Justice was served. Is it fair? No. But no one has every claimed "justice" and "fairness" were one in the same.
