I'm just curious if full time college students attend class 5x per week at a 4yr college.

And what about a community college for preliminaries?

Community College-no, you decide your own schedule based on what courses you take you can go tues/thurs classes or mon/wed/fri. That is if you schedule works out, since when you sign up you select the time and days. I've done as little as two days a week, and once I did six days a week (I went on a saturday).

4 year-if you're a starting student and living on campus then its up to the registar mainly. You could end up going 5X a week or less. However if you commute, then you can choose by talking to your advisor, community colleges are a lot more flexible when it comes to scheduling.

It depends on the college. When I was in college at a four year school, the classes I needed were only offered at one time, so I couldn't cram it all in to two or three days. Some were offered on mon, wed, fri, others on tues. thurs.

You would have no problem arranging your classes so that you would only have to go two or three days a week if you went to a community college. Community colleges also have a lot of "hybrid classes" that are half on-line and half in person. This way, you would go one day a week and do the rest online. If you're concerned about being able to work, community colleges also have a lot of night and weekend classes.

At a 4 year college, you'll typically have 15-16 "credit hours." Thats like five classes plus a lab. You go to class one hour per week for each "credit." Except labs are longer. And sometimes there are review sessions that you really just have to attend. So you'll be in class approximately 20 hours per week. You'll be studying, reading, writing, and so on, about twice that much if you have a real major and you're taking your education seriously.

It depends on the class and the scheduling. You might have classes all five days, you might have a whole day or two off. You can get a schedule of classes and arrange it the best way for you.
