And if you're referring to the time period from 2000, people felt that the Republican party was the party that would 'protect America from the terrorists.' So, since the soccer moms across the country got out and voted, Republicans continued to win. However, it appears that people have turned away from the Republican party to protect America, as Democrats won many seats in the recent Congressional Elections.
Does that mean Democrats are better at it than Republicans? Not necessarily. The people could also be tired of being told how afraid they should be. What's our threat level these days?

Clinton was in office for two terms '92-'00 hello! the war started in 01 to 02 The only reason bush was in office was cause he had a brother who happened to be a governor in Florida. Post 911 it was all scare tactics the republicans got elected into office because Bush told america to vote republican or the Taliban will get you 911! 911! 911! Vote Bush
Thats why the democrats didnt get elected.

Their inability to handle leadership was made clear by the failures of Clinton and Carter. Putting Kerry and Gore at their presidential cadidates proved how poor they were at making decisions. Now they have put Hillary at the top of the heap and after the public have had another year of Pelosi and Reid the Green Party may have a better chance at getting some seats in congress, because the other two parties are showing how terrible they are.

because people couldnt see past their brown nose .they had it stuck too far up well you know lmao bush never should have been in office in 1st place and we wouldnt be in the mess we are in in iraq.and all our young men and women wouldnt be dead fighting in an unwinnable war.
