Sadly, most Americans have never heard of the "Fairness Doctrine." It is a shameless attack on the First Amendment's guarantee of free speech. The Left in this country believe that free speech only applies to them. Keep spreading the word, my friend. We can't let this happen in America.

Al Franken is about to get elected as Senator in Minnesota (replacing Republican Norm Coleman) and isn't on the radio anymore. Last I heard, neither was Jeneane Garafalo.
As for the fairness doctrine, I think it should be applied to any federally funded media, like PBS, armed forces network, etc. And any medial corporation receiving federal grants, tax breaks, subsidies, PSA's, etc.

Yes.
Communist/Nazi Jack Boots are the goal of the Democrat Party.
Democrats want the US to become the "North Korea of the West".

I think the subsidies are already their. so MSNBC is ahead not behind. In my opinion the free market supplies a lot of "fairness" without government interferance. Probably just another reason to vote "R" the next time.

No, I don't think so, they will just close down all communications and we will only get NPR with programming the ruling elite in the Democratic Secular Socialists believe to be important for us. It will be just like Russia, or Nazi Germany, or Communist China and Cuba, nothing but the party line.
Hope you all like your new communist rulers.

The 'fairness doctrine' just kills political debate on the airwaves, it doesn't actually impose one side or the other - that's how it's 'fair.' Everybody has to shut up, because having an opinion costs (the station airtime).

Of course
But don't worry too much. Bush had enough influence on the Supreme Court that those "gasturds" will not be able to block free speech.

Actually we had the "Fairness Doctrine" for years prior to 1987 with no jackbooted thugs.

My friend, the jackbooted thugs are much closer than you think. They will be sent by King George. It won't have anything to do with freedom or fairness.
Check out Ron Paul, it appears that he is the only one of all the candidates who actually wants to save this country.

I have noticed that a lot of republicans are opposed to fairness. I always suspected it, but never realized injustice was actual part of your platform.
