Well first of all you boil some water, add the food coloring and dissolve some sugar in it until you cannot dissolve no more. Pour it in a 20oz soda bottle then tie a string to a toothpick and hang the string inside the bottle. Allow it to sit for a few days without disturbing it and soon you will have crystals. You can even add different combinations of food colorings and make some wild colors. Have fun

Sugar makes nice (and edible) crystals.

1. Boil a pot of water.
2. Keep adding sugar until it stops dissolving, and just sits on the bottom.
3. Turn off the heat.
4. Hang a string (or several strings) down into the middle of the sugary water, suspended from a stick or pencil or something.
5. Wait several hours, preferably overnight. Do not heat, touch, bump, or disturb the pot in any way.
6. Once a bunch of crystals have grown on the strings, remove them, dry them, and eat them.

1. Get glass jar
2. Fill 75% of jar with hot water.
3. Stir either sugar or salt into water until they stop dissolving.
4. Seal jar with top, then store away.
5. Crystals should start to grow about 3 days later. The longer you let it grow, the bigger it gets.
