Like Paul said, if the plants are going to be in the the truck for a couple days in the heat then I would be concerned. If its a day trip they will be fine.

What can harm plants is if they are placed in the back of a trailer and exposed the the elements on a hot day driving at the speed of sound. My brother killed most of his palms doing that when he moved house. "he never did that again"

I give up is there a question you hope to have answered.

Plants die. think how long could you live in the back of the truck. The plants are going to be just about the same unless there some extra delicate thing. if that's the case think how long would a baby live in the back of the truck

Paul hit it. Even *cactus* will die if that truck sits out in the sun getting up to 120 degrees. Cactus in the desert in arizona might take it, but your houseplant ones wouldn't. And your giant philodendron ... kaput.

You're possibly ok if it's a short trip... not so good if it's longer. If it's longer, if you've invested time and care in these plants you have two better choices: move them yourself or give them to friends and family where you currently live. Maybe they'll take care of them and next time you visit you can take a couple more back.

Depends on how long they'll be in there. A couple of days with no light shouldn't hurt them. It's the heat of being locked in the back of a moving van that should concern you.

If you don't have any other choice, go ahead and try it. If they all live, great. If some don't make it, oh well. What else are you going to do?
