I'd want to be a part of the Salem witch hunt because it's my least favorite part of any of our history and I think it'd be cool to feel the same emotions the so-called witches had when they were being hunted.

Assuming the asteroids were once a planet, I'd pick that day in history when they changed from being a planet to being asteroids.

I suspect that would be a day to remember.
