I would love that. If the news was true, I would be more than happy to tune in. Then I could actually watch the news with my children.

Why not? People need uplifting news to spark their souls and freshen their spirits, not to mention young children learning to read would be spared the gory details of war, crime, racism, sexism, and other sins of the world, instead focusing on the good in the world. This is not to say that a child should never receive bad news, but he or she should be informed in an age-appropriate, sensitive manner. As an example: young children who watched the morning news on September 11, 2001 thought the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the field near Pittsburgh were happening near them; repeated coverage days after those tragedies reinforced these children's beliefs. Also, a newspaper that had only good news in it would help those recovering from trauma rebuild their psyches while still informing them about the happenings of the world.

I prefer neither one extreme or the other. I want only an accurate report, good or bad. I believe that the war is reported on in a biased way, leaning heavily on the negative. But I'm not naive enough to think that the positive developments which I know much exist, outweigh the negatives in that situation. Just give me an honest understanding of the facts.

Yes, we would love to watch a news channel that only gave GOOD stories. We think (my husband and I) that there is a big void in the media for GOOD news that we'd actually like to hear. Why do all the murders, drownings, and drug overdoses make the headlines? I just don't get it.

No, I wouldn't.
I want to hear what's happening in Iraq, good and bad. If there are problems over there, risking the lives of our soldiers, I certainly want to know about it. If bad policy decisions are made over here, I want to know why they went wrong.
The theory applies to everything. I want to know if manufacturers are making defective products. I want to know if government officials are acting improperly. And on and on.
News reports should give both good and bad news. There is plenty of both out there.
