I'm a dancer in SoCal, and some clubs require you to get a 'license' from the city courthouse. I've heard in Vegas that you have to have this 'license' to dance anywhere in the city... do I just go to the courthouse out there to get it? Does anyone know? Anyone ever danced (or currently dance) in Vegas?

It's not a license at the court house. It's a Sheriff's Work Card issued by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and it is issued at the Fingerprint Bureau off West Russell Road, well west of the Strip. Your employer has to give you the paperwork and you will be fingerprinted. Plus, they will run you through NCIC and SCOPE to see if you have any criminal record or if there are any warrants out on you.
You need that work card to work at any club or dance site in Clark County. That includes the incorporated cities of Mesquite, North Las Vegas, Las Vegas and the unicorporated townships where the Strip is located.

I don't know if you need a license. You may need a sheriffs card though. Here's a link to a website I found that's just perfect for you. www.stripclubreview.com I hope this helps. I live and work in Vegas, though not a stripper. Good luck!!!

, You'll need a "sheriffs " card. I don't know what the price is, you will be fingerprinted. If you have any warrants out against you you"ll be put in jail. No, I'm not kidding.
