There were 4 kings in the UK in the 20th Century - Edward VII - oldest son of Queen Victoria, George V- oldest surviving son of Edward VII, Edward VIII - oldest son of George V, abdicated so he could marry a twice-dicorced American woman, George VI - second son of George V, brother of Edward VIII. George VI was the father of Elizabeth II.

The last King of England (as opposed to the UK) was Edward VI - son of Henry VIII. The next King was James I & VI who united the thrones of England and Scotland.

The next King of England will be Prince Charles providing he survives his mother.

In England, the oldest son of the reigning monarch inherits the throne when the monarch dies. If there is no son, then the oldest daughter inherits.

The current queen, Elizabeth II, did not have any brothers; she had a younger sister so Elizabeth became queen when her father died.

Elizabeth has three sons and a daughter. Her oldest son, Charles, will likely become king when she dies. Charles has two sons, William and Harry, and William is next in line to inherit the throne after his father.

The oldest male child is always first in line so it appears that after Elizabeth there will be kings in England.
