The Simpsons has ten great seasons. Family Guy has two great seasons.
Of course Family Guy is funnier now. Meaning that the current episodes of Family Guy are better than the current episodes of The Simpsons. But The Simpsons in its prime is better than Family Guy in its prime.

You have to respect The Simpsons. It was the pioneer, it made us crack up back in the day.
But now, Family Guy is the victor. Family Guy owes a lot to Simpsons, but at the same time, is very original.

family guy is a rip-off of classic simpsons (seasons 3-10)....not a total blatant rip-off but if you've watched enough older simpsons and watch some family guy you can notice certain elements from simpsons episodes that are also in family guy..also family guy takes a lot of plot concepts the simpsons already did. simpsons is better all day everyday.

Of course I am going to say The Simpons. I have been watching it ever since I could understand it !!! Family Guy is good but it cannot be compared to The Simpsons. No one will ever forget them.
