I hope that you are getting some form of therapy for the pinched nerve. With therapy it's going to reduce the recovery time. It will take about six months to have a reversal. I recommend you see a chiropractor as they often can help the problem very quickly.

Kenny, If your up late like me, you must be in horibel pain! Only hurts when you breath? Write? This can take a very long time to heal, up to a year. You can speed your recovery be steretching as often as you can stand it , Staying limber will help A LOT to avoid back ingury in the future

sometimes exercise or a combination like drugs and exercise help, or pain magement doctor can help you. I go to one and they blocked the nerve(I think it depends what it is effecting if they can block it) Sometimes though they never heal if they are bad enough. I also have a sacratiliac nerve that still bothers me after years but the pain mangement doctor can help that too. Have your doctor refer you to one.

ouch!!! they can last for a while!! go to the dr. and ask for a muscle relaxer!! i got flexerall when i had a pinched nerve!! miracle drug!!!! :)
