If it is becoming obvious...like he is not able to pay his bills anymore, get him hooked up with Gambler's Anonymous. Having a gambling addiction at any age is not healthy.

However, if he is just using gambling once in awhile for entertainment, it is really none of your business, and you should just butt out.

So long as it does not interfere with anyone, he has the resources, still maintains his living style, it really isn't any-ones
business.....Nice of you to be concerned, but he is a big boy.
There is a difference between enjoying yourself after you have worked all your life,......and gambling away the household, grocery money and not feeding the kids.
Maybe he has earned this special time and place in his life....if he is happy ...be happy for him.....thank you!.

If he wins, I guess it is not a problem. It is only a problem when he loses...if he loses, make sure he has plenty more where that came from. Good luck. Hell, I have a gambling problem..it is a gamble just getting out of bed each day...but that is not YOUR problem, that is mine.

Was he a gambler when younger? In that case, he is just continuing his habit, and there isn't much you can do, actually.

If he is just starting this now, then there is a reason for it - he needs company, he needs a hobby, something to do, etc. Spend time with him, take him out for eats, trips, visits to friends and relatives, etc and he might soon forget his gambling.

A compulsive gambler is one who subconsciously wants to lose ie giving out signals that he wants attention, love, have low self esteem, and so on. If he is turning compulsive, find out why in these directions.

Most of all and mostly, I think he just needs family support, attention and company - lots.

Got news for you! Gambling in extreame is very bad and over all bad anyway. It is and can or will become just like a DRUG/ hence drugs and Booze a crutch and a huge problem for all around family friends and himself. If he is addicted to it he will need professional help and most of all PRAY to God ever day to help him as well Praying works even if you do not think so.

Nothing much you can do really. As long as he doesn't gamble the roof over his head, and he is not complaining of being broke and borrowing money left right and centre...Let him get on with it.
After all; It's his money and he can spend it on anything that makes him happy.
