When will I feel the baby move?
First time mothers usually will not feel the baby move until 16-20 weeks or even later. It’s not because the baby isn’t moving, it’s just because these new mothers do not yet recognize the earlier, gentler movements. Experienced mothers will often feel the baby move at 14-15 weeks.
In the beginning, you may notice only a few kicks a day. The baby is relatively small compared to the size of the uterus and you will not feel it kicking unless it kicks the wall of the uterus. As pregnancy progresses, you feel the baby more often because its movements are stronger and it always bumps into the wall of the uterus when it moves.

Its possible to feel the baby any time around now. I felt mine at 16 weeks, but it was very subtle. A lot of first time moms won't feel anything until closer to 20 weeks. They say the baby could be moving and you may not feel it if you are pretty active during the day, but that you may feel it at night when you are relaxing. One thing that worked for me to "provoke" movement is to have a light snack or glass of milk, then lay down. Every time I do that my baby moves! It feels like butterflies, or like little bubbles.

It's ok. When I was that far, I didn't always feel when the baby moved. My doctor says that it can also depend on the placement of the placenta. You're more likely to feel the baby kick if she kicks towards your front. If the placenta is positioned right in front, it can keep you from feeling the baby because there are no nerve endings in the placenta. I didn't really feel mine do cartwheels till about 22-23 weeks.

With my first pregnancy i did not feel movements until 20 weeks although when i drank a glass of orange juice and layed on my left side for a bit i felt her move more. If you are not experiencing any cramping or bleeding or anything abnormal everything should be ok.

Do you mean 12 weeks? With your first pregnancy you don't usually feel anything for abot 20-25 weeks. That's how I was with my first, I felt my second at about 16 weeks.

all women are different -- relax and you should feel the baby before your next apointment if you do not, make sure to let your dr know so he can check things out to make sure everything is a-ok other wise if your really worried about it call and see if they can do a dopler so you can hear the heart beat to know everything is going ok. they will usually do this for you to put your mind at ease. good luck
