I always use Limewire Pro all the time for 2 and a half years now and I have McAfee Suite 2007. Am I vulnerable to any attacks? So far, I don't seem to have a problem with viruses or trojans or worms. and my anti-virus is always updated daily, too. hope my concern is clear. thank you!

well usually
anti-virus software checks what's getting in your pc
like when you download something the antivirus is checking that
that file is not a virus
and if the file has a virus it usually gives you a warning
remember to scan your downloaded files with your antispyware and antivirus.
i also use limewire and i have never have any problem
usually music files and video files dont have virus or spyware
the files that could contain virus are files like programs
or other kind of files that ARE NOT videos or music.

There's always a chance that you'll run into something new that isn't yet updated by mcafee

I'm happy to hear you're able to sucessfully navigate limewire....you're doing better than most. to be honest though, i'd really look into a different p2p platform. I've found that torrent sites are much more secure and very practical for everyday use. I used dc++ for about 3 years or so problem free but for the past 2 years i've had such better speeds and availability of files from just a couple torrent sites. I get about 25GB a week in dvds, music,ps2 and all that....no problems at all.

cheers!

Your question seems to be that you fear virus attacks because you have Limewire on your computer. I've used Limewire for years and never got a virus from it, but I don't download illegal programs, only old music. Just having Limewire does not present any problems. It's what you download from there that might cause a problem. Sounds like you're okay on the virus protection, so I doubt if you have anything to worry about.
