My son is almost 3 weeks old and he barely cries! The ONLY time he cries is when he's hungry. Other than that, he just squiggles around and lays there looking around when he's awake. He's an EXCELLENT baby. He even got circumsized yesterday and only cried for about 2 hours on a off and ever since that he hasn't cried at all. Is this totally normal? I was expecting a baby that constantly cried, but he's totally surprising me by being an awesome baby. Is everything fine with this?

There are three kinds of babies, the easy baby the hard baby and the slow to learn baby. You got lucky and got the easy baby. They normally only cry to indicate they need something and other times they are just fine exploring the world.

Completely normal. It means his needs are being met. Good Mommy!
Count yourself lucky! My son was a crier - my daughter only cried when she was hungry or needed a diaper change.
Best of luck with your new baby and I hope he stays that way - so much more fun.

Yes it's normal. Consider yourself very lucky! I was also lucky with my first. He was the same way, he was very content & rarely cried, I loved it! But now he's 4 & cries more than he did back then, you would think it'd be reversed! Enjoy this great time!

Yes ma'am and count yourself lucky. My baby didn't cry that much at first...but then he started to cry more. Now he cries when he is sleepy, hungry or has a dirty diaper. OR when he is playing by himself in his crib or play yard and sees you walk by and wants to be picked up! haha

Everything is fine & you got extremly lucky. Enjoy it while you can because for long he will make all kinds of sounds all day long. Both of my sons, were just like you little guy & now they make noise all day long. Congrats on baby, enjoy while you can before you know it he will be walking.

Don't complain! Actually, at this age, most babies only cry if there is something bothering them - hungry, tired, gas, wet diaper, cold, hot, etc. I guess your baby just isn't bothered by much! Here's hoping that he keeps that sunny disposition....

my baby doesn't cry either (only when he's hungry) .. but he's been sleeping a lot .. I hope it's the same after he starts staying awake more! :)
God bless!
