you can still listen to it. ripping just means copying and generally changing the copy to a more compressed format like mp3

No ripping does not take the music off of the CD. You will still be able to listen to the CD on a CD player.
I have ripped almost all of my CD's and I still can play them.

no it won't. It a form of copying the music off your cd to your computer. It's like how you use copy and paste in writting you documents. You will still be able to listen to the cd after it's ripped. So don't worry you can breathe all the ripping will do is copy the music.

No it will not take the music off the CD. It will simply copy it into the library you're ripping it into and it will be on your computer. The songs will still be playing fine on your CD. Good Luck!

ripping a cd means its making copies of the music on to your computer. when you rip cds it doesn't affect the cd at all so you're still able to play it in your cd player.

Well, since most music CDs are not CD-RW and are CD-R, you can only copy the music to the computer, not move the music to the music, so you can still play your music on your CD player.

no of course not thats impossible. the music is literally etched into the cd. microscopic ditches form the data, and cannot be taken off the cd except by physically destroying the cd. ripping is a process that reads the information, and the copies it exactly using a small laser to burn (literally) another disc, or copies the info exactly, onto your computer.

Yes the cd will be fine. It just basically copies the songs onto your computer. If you make a photo copy of a page in a book is that page still there?
