Any book by Janet Evanovich. She writes light mysteries with Stephanie Plum, a bounty hunter...her stories are well-written and loaded with humor. I laugh from page one to the last page. Her stories are clever, move well and she captures you immediately. You can't put down her books.

At least one book about the American Civil War. You might enjoy The Hobbit or On Walden Pond. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a cute fantasy tale. And for inspiration, try The Greatest Generation.

Personally, I love anything by F.Scott Fitzgerald....
There are so many 'classic' books to read.
I also love Anne Rule---a true crime writer. Her books are so well-written, I always get sucked in.
Anything by Daniel Jones is good---I have to say that, because he is my favorite cousin.
And Erik Larson ROCKS!!!
Sheesh...I could go on & on. I just love reading....
