time does the trick

you have to take it one day at a time sometimes one hour at a time, but eventually you will move on and find someone else if its not meant to be, just remember it is a grieving process because it is a loss to you so you have to feel the pain and when the time is right you will find someone new, a small part of you will always care, but our first loves prepare us for the real thing, don't give up and good luck, we've all been there time will ease the pain even if it doesn't seem so now

It took a lot of time, patience, and help from my family and friends.... I needed a little help from medicine too. I got super depressed and was put on ant-depressants. They helped out a lot! Anyway, I just kept my head up and told myself I would find the love of my life someday and until then, it's just practice :-) I still hold a special place in my heart for him because he was my very first love. But 8 years later, I found the man of my dreams and am happier now than I was then! :-)

I dated someone else, and went out with my close friends to keep my mind off of him.

At first I would just lay in the bed and cry.
One of my best friends came over every day
and MADE me get up and go to her house.
It brings tears to my eyes just to think about it because without her, I'd probably still be in the bed. (exaggeration!) but, yea, I was a BIG mess.

Then my friends got me to go out with them, and I
met a really nice guy. After that, my hurt turned into anger for him hurting me.
Shortly there after, I had NO feelings for my ex at all. Good Luck, you'll be O.K. :~)

:~)

I didn't...We're still together 10 yrs later!!!
But if you're asking how you can get over your first love you just need time. Then you'll meet someone new and you'll wonder what took you so long to get over the first guy. Time really does heal all wounds! :o)

I'm still not over him, we broke up 4 months ago after a 2 year relationship so it's going to take me a while.

It's been twenty years, and I'm not over her yet - though I have moved on. I still wish her all the best...

Time....

Seeing other people helps the most though, nothing like realizing that the one you were with really wasn't that great.

Being single is fun, don't knock it.
