What makes you think that all liberals want to turn the US into a nanny state? The last time I checked, NOT all of them do. When it comes to what "cradle to grave", what are you referring to with the programs? What kind of programs?

Americans are sooooo stupid. You are so brainwashed into believing that it is wrong to expect your tax dollars to provide you with health care, decent housing, education, and support for those less fortunate yet you have no problem giving all your money to corporations so the CEO's can live in obscene luxury...or facing up to the fact that you are going to be in debt for the rest of time fighting a war that will never be won.."Why should mah tax dollahs go toowerds takin care of those poor and crazy people runnin around out on the streets?' You don't even think about what it would be like to go to bed every night knowing that the majority of men, women and children in your country are taken care of...idiots..

Power. Liberals seek to undermine the constitution and seize absolute power in America by creating a pervasive culture of dependence that places all power, authority, and responsibility with the government. (Conservatives have different plans for undermining the constitution and siezing absolute power, of course).
None. I've never availed myself of welfare, SSI, unemployment benefits or anything else of that nature, and I am planning my retirement on the assumption that I will never collect Social(ist) Security.

The only program that I asked for assistance with was college. I have been poor, but never have I asked for a handout like welfare. I am repaying my student loans. If you want a good life, you've got to go out and make one. No one owes you anything.
