THE JAPANESE.
Americans invented it, but the Japanese perfected it.
The main reason why the Japanese focused on quality was because American companies were making the cars so cheap, the Japanese had to have something desirable and different. So quality was their aim.

It depends on which class of cars we are speaking:
1. compact cars: perhaps France. Cars as the Renault ClÃo or Peugeot 206 usually is the best options of purchase in this segment, although the spare parts and services are expensive and not very good. The Germans and japones are more expensive, and the gringos are very inexperienced in this segment.
2. Cars of range average and average discharge: the Japanese marks. Sling, Toyota, Nissan, etc. seem to me excellent marks. Generally they are very reliable, innovating and they have great quality, as much in its product as in the service post sale. Their cars are practical and comfortable, equipped very well. On the other hand it surprises his adaptation to me the tastes of the client, always surprise.
3. Premium: the Germans by tradition have done the best ones (BMW, Mercedes, Porch) as far as design, performance and finished, although the Japanese also are demonstrating to do them very well, mainly Lexus and Acura.
4. of luxury: the English win in this segment with marks like Bentley, Aston Martin or Rolls Royce. They are cars done, that last centuries, with a great equipment and thought very well for the maximum comfort of his occupants.
5. super sport of manufacture on order: in general the Italians dominate this niche with marks like Ferrari, Masseratti or Lambourghini. Their design and performance are unique. Except for very counted exceptions like the Dutch Spyker or Buggatti, no nonItalian company arrives to them at the heels in this segment. Nevertheless to the Italians it has not gone to them so well at the time of making cars for the masses (Fiat). The great losers of nowadays are the Americans to my to seem. Depués of to have produced per decades the best cars, the great American companies to sobreivir have had to resort to alliances or acquisitions of Asian or European marks (GM: Opel, Saab, Daewoo, Susuki; Ford: Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo; Chrysler was fused with Mercedes and maintain alliance with Hyunday and Mitsubishi), giving by regulating thin results due to the increase of costs. It observes com in Mexico GM has maintained his first place offering almost pure Opel German (it could it have done offering American cars). The inefficient defects of manufacture, motors, expensive lack of innovation, lack of adaptation to the tastes del consuming, spare parts, little attractive designs have been in a case or another causes del main problem: loss of satisfaction of the client, with its consequent diminution in sales (you knew that toyota, already won to him to GM)
