how do you know they don't appreciate life? maybe they just have different values than you do. . .

Or do you mean they're spoiled and take it all for granted?

we all do at one time or another, it is the few that walk about feeling conintually blessed and that life is a great gift.

you can't tell them anything, just listen and offer what you can.

Though I have to say i have met people that i think need to be left in the woods- just to realize that they are strong, those that see a void in themselves where there is none.

Maybe the life they have now is not the life they want to have, their not happy in the position that they are in so I can understand why one would not appreciate life. I don't think there is anything I can say to make them more accepting of their life because I admit I sometimes I feel the same way.

And its usually the people who are happy with their life who have everything would say something like their looking for pity and attention, so don't judge unless you know exactly how they feel and what they've gone through in their life ok. Not everyone can deal/react with what life brings them the way they should. Everyone has their fears to overcome and their own past to deal with. Be more open-minded. Thanks!

It's not my job to judge or inflict my opinion on someone who is probably depressed if they don't appreciate life. There's an old American Indian saying 'don't judge me 'til you've walked a mile in my moccasins'. I don't know what someone else has experienced or how they're feeling so I wouldn't tell them anything.

I think anyone who doesn't appreciate life or says they don't is just looking for attention. People only tend to say or think that when times get bad. It's a complete pity party in my opinion. You don't hear happy people talking like that.

Life has bad moments and good ones, too. People need to learn how to ride through the rough and it'll make them really appreciate the good. Besides, if something really sucks you can only rely on yourself to change the situation. Crying to everyone else isn't going to fix the problems. If someone is unhappy then they have to look inside their self to find the answers and the way to change that.

There are those who don't appreciate life because life has taken so much than they can handle. And there are those who don't appreciate life because life hasn't give them enough to satisfy them. So you can't pigeonhole everyone into one spot.

It's easy to advise people because when you are not in their shoes you can not comprehend their feelings.Usually people who don't appreciate life are people going through tragedy and there isn't really way to help them, they can only help themselves you can listen only that's what helps, let them tell whatever they feel on their heart.

It depends on how deep those feelings are. Are they just down for a day or two or are they seriously depressed. If they are just a little down, I probalby wouldn't say much I would let them talk and just be there for them. If it's more serious I would try to point out things that they have going for them - friends, family , spouse, kids, health...

Not everyone has a reason to appreciate life. Just because your life is perfect, doesn't mean that everyone's is.

Such a waste! Hopefully they would change their opinion later on in life before it's too late.
