My husband I just found out we are pregnant with our second child!!! We have been trying for 4 months and couldn't be happier. A friend of mine is pregnant as well and is only 10 weeks along. We are waiting until the end of next month to do a BBQ with the 4 sets of parents to announce our good news. We are all very close.
Here is my problem there is a family beach trip coming up two weekends from now (the weekend after next) I am afraid I'm going to be sick. How do I keep my pregnancy hidden? I don't want to ruin the surprise. If I don't go they will know something is up. If I go and I am sick they will know something is up for they know we have been trying. I am also someone who very rarely gets sick. My parents also live 5 minutes away so they see/talk to me at least 4 times a week, they know I am fine. Are there any secrets on how to keep my tummy under control? If so PLEASE let me know!!! Thank you for your help.

I should probably add that I'm not sick right now yes my stomach gets queasy from time to time but nothing to bad. I just remember being sick for about a month with my first child. I'm just trying to be prepared for what may come.

Try eating small meals throughout the day instead of eating large amounts at once. I am 10 wks myself and only really get the feeling when I haven't eaten in awhile. You didn't say if you only feel sick, or are throwing up every five minutes. If you want to go to the beach party and are sick to your stomach, then I would announce it at first that you have a stomach bug and your fine, but you may need to excuse yourself every once in a while. Gravol is a great thing to keep handy as well.

Just go, and try not to worry so much. "Morning sickness" is unpredictable and can come at any time... but it doesn't usually last all day. Bring some saltine crackers and ginger ale with you, in case you need a little something to "settle" your stomach.
If you want to hide your pregnancy and you DO get sick in front of others, have a little lie ready. "Guess I shouldn't have had that spaghetti last night!" Or "No more raw oysters for me!" Something like that.

I had to hide my pregnancy at work (long story) and I was very sick. What I did was say, "I'm on a new prescription, and a queasy stomach is just part of the deal."
What I did NOT say was that the new Rx was for prenatal vitamins.
Also, I found that extra Vitamin B6 and sucking on candied ginger helped quell my morning sickness quite a bit.

Well I am 19 weeks now and just got over the nauseau about 2 1/2 weeks ago (thank god) but everytime I ate I would get sick and I would take a Tums and it usually helps.
Then all the regular stuff like eat crackers and eat small meals hopefully you will be alright and they wont notice.
Congrats

As for the being sick you can always say that you have a touch of food poisoning. As far as tummy control, you can wear a sarong on the beach. Empire waist dresses can also hide a little tummy.

Grapes helped to stop my morning/afternoon sickness, ginger ale can also help. My mother and grandmother both swear on raw potatos.

you could get sick at any time but if you are prone to morning sickness just "sleep in" in the afternoon just say that you got to much sun and at night just say dinner went right through you! but dont worry youll make yourself sicker!

The More you worry, The more you actually will get sick.
Don't worry, just relax and you will be just fine.
