My husband and my daughter and I moved in with friends, to help out with both of our financial problems. Well she won't get a job because she refuses to put her kid in daycare, he won't find a better job or a second job. My husband and i end up paying for all the grocery's and even the cable and phone, and gas, and electric. Is it ok for us to tell them that if something does not change soon we will be moving out?

We are not living under their roof, it is our roof. we all take responsibility, the lease is in their name, the cable and phone are in my husbands (their phone too) and the gas and electric are in my name.

ABSOLUTELY! they are screwing you around and making you spend as much money as if you were living in your own house i thought that you moved in with them to save money? right now its looking kind of like going backwards instead of forwards.
say something soon, they think that you guys are welcome mats and will continue to wipe their feet with you!

Of course it is. She wants to maintain a certain life style that her husband can't provide her so why should YOUR husband provide it for her? I'd find another place to live before you give her the speech because she's going to throw a fit and make it look like they are doing you the favor and you're the ungrateful ones. Be prepared to move out that night if necessary.

I don't know if its ok to tell them if something doesn't change soon..... you are living under their roof. But you do need to find somewhere else to live. It seems to they are just using the 3 of you for their financial help.

Same thing going on this way.. But i had my husband say something.. You do need to tell them something has to change or they have to leave.. Your not saving any money with them there.. Also after some time it can really messup your friendship with them.. so you might want to do it A.S.A.P..

its perfectly ok to say that! you both need to meet each other half ways! its only fair! and hey i understand the whole day care thing but sometimes you have to do what you have to do, and in this case, its contribuiting to the financial situation. like i said its only fair that its 50/50. talk with them calmly and explain how you feel.

of course! u moved in to help with money problems...not to get rid of there problems and add to yours....if u moved there to save money by living with other people then u shouldn't have to pay for everything. just talk to them and tell them its not fair. good luck!

Of course it is. If they aren't helping out with everything, they're free loaders. And even if its your friend, be honest. Tell them to step it up or else you can't live with them anymore.

It's fine for you to tell them that. You are not obliged to stay with them unless you signed some sort of contract.
