Well, if that child exists, he'll have to move over, because every mom thinks her child is the smartest! Seriously, I think true geniuses and child prodigies went out in Beethoven's era. That's not to say that there aren't exceptionally bright kids in the world -- there are many. But back in the 16th and 17th centuries, there were a lot of artistic geniuses whose talent manifested itself at a very early age.
In our modern times, with the advent of computers, it's possible that the next few generations will produce technological geniuses, if indeed, they haven't already. But it's nice to know that every child has the potential to be the smartest that he or she possibly can be. And the bright kid of today can be the wizard of tomorrow. Our world depends on it!
