some people like questions that require just a yes or a no so you can try that. There are those who put lots of thought into their questions so you can ask a question that you think they would have to do that to answer

Yesterday I put "sex" in the question just to see how many people would respond. AMAZING the amount of traffic that question got! Now had that been a P&S about world politics, or macroeconomic theory - probably not so much.

It's difficult to know. Sometimes serious questions get answered in droves, or completely ignored, and sometimes silly questions get over 50 answers. I haven't quite figured that out myself.
