This guy is a sociopathic thug! The fact that he's a gifted athlete means very little when he's a complete scumbag. Apparently so is his whole clan as he attributes the dog fighting to his relatives.
Ban him and jail him.

The indictment said that in April 2007, Peace, Phillips and Vick "executed approximately eight dogs that did not perform well in 'testing' sessions by various methods, including hanging, drowning and/or slamming at least one dog's body to the ground." Vick also is alleged to have consulted with Peace before Peace killed a losing dog by electrocution in 2003

Vick deserves to go to prison for the deaths of many innocent animals. I am an animal lover and guys like him make me sick. I love football, it is my passion but Vick I will not watch again. I don't care if he is in the superbowl, I still won't watch him. The NFL should not only suspend him he should be banned. Pukes like him this world can do without!!!! ******* bastar* should get in the pen with some pitbulls himself!! That I'd watch!!!

I can totally look past it, in fact, being a football player should mean he can do whatever he wants. He could maybe go eat some babies or go to a park and punch little kids in the face, I mean, rules don't apply if you can run or toss a ball, right?

and as Homer J Simpson once said "And in case you couldn't tell, I was being SARCASTIC!"

I definitly care. I would never look past something like that because they can play ball!! I think they should suspend him for the entire year, if he is found guilty. The NFL has to set examples out of players like this. I am so tired of hearing negative stories out of the NFL. They need to clean up the league and get rid of these thugs. I would gladly play for the league minimum ( right around $250,000).

He committed serious crimes and is execptionally cruel to animals. There is no getting past that. It is a priviledge to play football in the NFL and there are certain requirements to do so. Vick has violated those requirements and should not be allowed to play in the NFL.

I think that people forget that is a privilege to be able to play for the NFL. There are rules that one must obey in society, and in ours, it includes animal treatment. No matter who it is or what their talent is, each person is responsible for their own actions. This person should have to suffer the consequences, including not being able to play NFL football.

I agree, it is some privilage to be able to play football full-time and be paid what he is. Vick is cruel, and only those who are as low as him can look past that. He should be punished just like Pacman Jones.

No, it was wrong, if he did it. But if we can look past Cheney shooting a real "live" person while hunting and having a few drinks surely we can get past the Vick situation. I mean, he could have killed a living HUMAN BEING, which is more valuable than a dog. If we can get past Tony Larussa's DUI, he could've possibly killed a group of people that morning, then Vick's problem shouldn't be as big. Do you agree?

He can't play football. I don't look past anything. What he did was wrong and cruel. Let's take my favorite football player of all-time, Jim Kelly. If he did something that stupid my heart would be broken and I would have to put aside the fact that he was a great QB. I don't care who you are, if you broke the law, you deserve to be punished for what you did. Vick was in the wrong and he needs to be punished for it.
