Some people want to vote for Obama because while he may lack experience, he has "ambition".

WOW...so all you need now is ambition...

Ambition is a trait I would expect of any candidate. Of itself, ambition has little value. Experience, stance on issues, character traits, voting records. Those are the traits that need to be considered. Too much ambition can be a very dangerous trait. Would a candidate sell out values in order to achieve his or her ambitions?

Well, we've all seen where "experience" gets us. I guess people are wanting to try something different this time. Not sure I want to vote on ambition alone, but I wouldn't mind a change. Still, I prefer the candidates that are running because people wanted them to, not just because of their own ambition.

You won't get the opportunity to rule a country without a /lot/ of ambition. It's a prerequisite, not a qualification.

I'm not sure if you can run a country on ambition, but I'm quite certain you can't run a country, without it.

You'd assume you'd need to have a brain and decent speaking skills to be president, but Bush sure proved us wrong!
