I am an upright, upstanding proud feminist. I love a lot of men, I love a lot of women, and i hate a lot of them too! But I want to reclaim the word feminist because it has been given bad connotations by people who want to wreck the feminist cause.
Feminists do not hate men, they are not all 50 yrs old with dungarees and armpit hair, they are not miserable and moaning! I am 19, i shave my armpits (some of the time) and I have a wonderful boyfriend and although i would like a pair of dungarees i can find any that fit me....
the word is not necessary because it already exists as described by other people who answered the question, if you are interested in feminist articles look at the fword.com, a wonderful site.

I believe in the rights of women and that all women are equal to all men and all men are equal to all women, and I would be the first person to stand up and scream sexist. But I think that some people tend to take it a bit far (and I mean in both genders) yes men can be arrogant, suck up *** holes who walk around with then heads so far up there asses they could eat **** for a year, but then again so are some women.

I am the first person to defend the right party who ever that may be.

I have wondered if this about equality and rights coming to an equal respect for both genders, why still call it feminism? doesnt the predispose it be about women, rather than an equlaity, an equilibrium across the genders? I suspect that could have something to do with confusions some find .

I propose a new title for those perceptions - genderism. that doesnt make it sound like its about a gender - it makes about anyone that could fit under the heading of having a gender.

Explain the phrase "downright feminist".
What exactly are you referring to?
What an aggressively worded question.
Who are you to demand twice that people speak out?
What are your educational credentials?
From your posting on this site I can only surmise that they are infinitely lacking.
I suggest that you take a course in The Grammar and syntax of The English Language.
When you are able to post in a coherent manner then maybe we might if you are lucky respond to you, but then I doubt it.

Feminists are not necessarily men-haters. They just advocate their rights and independence and refuse submission. Equality IS very important in society.

i think this issue is somehow addressed already.

people just have to accept that our culture as one people had moved forward and this culture has given much respect already to women making better impact to this world.

pls think out. pls think big.

The word you're looking for is misandrist. I have no patience for anyone who hates either gender.

misandrony and misogyny are equally counter productive, the race would cease to exist if it were commonplace.
