Muralitharan has already taken 700 wickets and he needs only 9 wickets to overtake Shane Warne's record of 708 wickets. He will defenitely achieve this target during Sri Lanka's forthcoming tour of Australia and will set a new recordfor most number of wickets in test cricket.

Most probably he wont. Since shane warne is not there in aussie team. They wont be daring to prepare spinner friendly pitches for this series.
It needs a real hard effort with some extra ordinary luck for murali to break that record.
