Hah, my parents actually went to Vegas when my brother was 15 and I was 13. A few times. They left us some cash for pizza and emergencies, and we had people in the neighborhood that we could call if we needed help with anything. If you think your teens are responsible enough I think it's fine.

Is there someone responsible who could stay with them? No, huh?

If they're fairly mature, yeah, I'd let it go. Make sure the 13 yo knows that 15 is the boss in charge. Call often. They don't want to go to the wedding? Oh, well.

My mom started leaving me home alone at 13 I think so its legal. Make sure they got food, a phone for contact and know the rules and they will be fine.

I think their old enough, my mom would leave me alone at 12yrs old. Once your 12yrs old you can pretty much do things on your own at home. Just leave a number of contacts and have the neighbor look after them time to time. Call them every other hour if you have to. Hope i was a help.

I wouldn't. Things happen. Especially if one of them is a girl. And I'm pretty sure leaving them alone at those ages would be considered neglect, and if anything happened while you were away, you can be sure it would be called neglect. Make some other arrangement. None of their friends anxious to have them over for a sleepover?

i think they can stay alone here it is 12. first off, i understand y they dont want to go to a baby sitter. they are too old for that. im 15 and if my mom said i am going to some baby sitter's house i'd probably refuse too. its just degrading. u can still check in ever so often

My mom left me and my sister home alone for the first time when my sister was 9 and I was 7 so trust me they are way old enough to be left alone.

It might be legal, but it would be very stupid. Take your kids with you to the wedding, or just take them with you, they can go swimming at the hotel while you are at the wedding.

OR, you could enforce your rights as their parent aka their superior, and MAKE them go to the sitters.

I'm guessing maybe your kids have a party planned at your house and it might be spoiled by them going to the sitter's.
