Oh boy! Some people can't read the question right. Big difference between blood test and drug test. The doctors are testing your blood for bacteria. You complained about thyroid problems. But if your waiting for results they might test your blood for drugs and thc last for couple months, urine is few weeks, hair is up to 7 years, saliva is couple years. But who knows, they might do a bacteria test and that be the end of it. These test are not cheap either except urine test. Smoking marijuana can cause thyroid problems also. Stop smoking, stunts your growth.

Yes, indeed. And they will take you to the deep jungles of Africa in a jail cell where nobody will ever see you again. So, keep your fingers crossed they don't find this. Hide under the bed, where you can't be found.
I'm kidding you.
The truth, it's very unlikely you will be spotted. Not because they don't want to, but rather because there is no reason to test for drugs. You see, when you get a blood test, the labs only test you for the requirements noted. They do not go out of their way to test for other things that are not relevant.

They won't find it because they're not testing for that. I wouldn't worry about it. Doctors and medical people don't care if you smoke pot. Also the information comes under doctor/client privilege so even if they knew, if the police asked them they wouldn't have to answer.
Hope your test comes out okay! There are some nasty things you can get from a tick bite, like Lyme disease.

i've worked in doctor's offices and now at a hospital. you will only be tested for what they are looking for...which is any infections from the tick, such as lyme disease. you will not be tested for anything else. unless you got bit by the tick at work, then they could pop a drug test on you.

HEY- NO NEED TO WORRY- THEY ARE APPARENTLY CHECKING YOU FOR LYME'S DISEASE. THERE WOULD BE NO VALID REASON FOR THEM TO DO A DRUG TOXICOLOGY ON YOU. IF THIS HAD BEEN A WORK RELATED INJURY, THEN, YOU WOULD HAVE A PROBLEM. AS LONG AS THIS ISN'T WORK COMP RELATED, RELAX- IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAT YOU FIND OUT IF YOU HAD ANY ILL EFFECTS FROM THE TICK BITE, AS THIS COULD BE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS- BETTER TO FIND OUT IF THE TICK INFLICTED ANY INJURY TO YOU. IT COULD BE A LIFE SAVING TEST, IN YOUR CASE.

Yes, if they're looking for it. If your employer is providing the testing, they will most likely test for drugs too. You can't really dictate to people what they do with you blood once you have given it to them.

Since they aren't looking for it, they probably won't find it. They're probably going to culture your blood to see if bacteria grows, and since marijuana is not bacteria, it won't grow in a culture.
If they're doing a tox screen, however, they may find it, or traces of the toxins in marijuana.

Don't worry about it. They're just looking for the infection, not drugs.
This isn't a pre-employment test, so they're not going to report it to anyone.

I doubt they're looking for any drugs.. if you had a drug test you'd be screwed though. Ganja stays in your system for a month or more...
