Jacob T's, on sale for $9.99, ok?
So I said ok, and she said how many?
I think she should have said Jacob T's on sale for $9.99 do you want one.
i don't get it at all!

It means her supervisor told her to get rid of the *%(!#(%* T's and all she could think to do was try to sell one to every customer that came through her register.
It would have been better if she had said "Jacob T's on sale for $9.99, how many would you like?" - clear question and you can say none, thank you - no confusion, no discomfort, no sale.

She was trying to make her job seem more interesting and fun so that you would get a job there and then she would quit without having to stay for two weeks, i know. I am the cashier. Sorry the the confusion, want a job????

It's called salesmanship. It's pushy but that's the way it works. She probably gets some kind of commission for pushing whatever the product of the week is.

She sounds like she was stupidly trying to get you to buy. Next time just say I'm not interested and if they push ask to see a manager.

What? I think what she said was correct because if you the seller you never try to put limitations on the customer. I'm a sales associate and number one thing they tell you is never ask close ended question so what she did was right in my mind.
