My newborn daughter grunted, snorted, and sounded like a squeaky door when she was just starting to cry. It was pretty hysterical. My husband and I still laugh when we talk about it.

My daughter did and I was chuckling about it when a nurse came in and listened with me.... I am not inexperienced by far, I have 3 kids and a day care and more nieces and nephews than one could imagine. but what I thought was funny was really "grunting'' and it meant that she was having dificulties breathing properly. she wasn't having any other symptom so I thought nothing of it. It's best to get him to a doctor just to make sure that he isn't having troubles. Better to go in and look overly worried that to stay home and regret it....

Every baby growls!! LOL I have 2 and know other children who growled when they were really young too. It's just learning what they can do! I admit that it is adorable!

my first growled and my second made a very mouselike squeak all the time, pretty funny all the way around, maybe record him to keep this memory forever, it will all be gone so soon. revel in the amazing thing childhood is.

my son did, but I think he thought it was a game because his dad always growled. so it is just a learning curve and they pick up some funny things.

My son (3 weeks old) does the same thing. He does it most often when he's hungry. I think it's hysterical!
