Well, I already don't use mine, except for popcorn. I just can't get myself to stop eating that damned microwave popcorn!!!
Really though, I don't like the way other things turn out in the microwave, so I really prefer to heat everything on the stove.
Okay, okay, yes, once in a great while, I will throw something in there like if the butter is too hard to spread or something like that, but it really is rare for me.
Even with the popcorn usage, I probably only turn the dang thing on like twice a week, so realistically, it wouldn't be that hard to do without on if I had to. I could always make popcorn on the stove too -- yummy!

I don't own a microwave, but if it was proven that they cause cancer, i would set a goal to make sure all those i care about, where microwave-less as well.

Nope. Honestly, I hardly use mine anyway. Most foods cook just about as quickly on the stove, and the exceptions are micro-wave specific food that is crap anyway. It's great for the popcorn, but other than that I can live without it, especially if cancer is a risk.

I think we don't really think about that but they do cause cancer and we still use them!!
