My bf wont let me rent it cuz he says it freaks him out. I think i am going to go to blockbuster n rent it anyway n watch it while he is at work.

White noise isn't scary at all, give it a shot ;)
Maybe for kicks, rent it, and watch it with him as a surprise when he gets back from work?

Give it a shot. it's not that scary. It's a little disturbing, for instance, put yourself in Michael keatons shoes while you are watching it and you'll shiver a little bit,
I enjoyed it.
