How did you find it? Were you there on time? How long did you leave to book in? How were the security checks. Please help. Thanks

Gawd YES!!!

What a wonderful way to travel!!

I have made the trip a few times - in standard and in leisure select. Leisure Select is the way to go. You will get a meal, and the seats are larger.

The train has run on time every time I have traveled. Early on some occasions.

I got to Waterloo (as well as Gare du Nord) about 60 minutes prior departure and had plenty of time. They don't generally board until 20-30 minutes before scheduled departure. It goes quickly. Security was about the same at Waterloo as an airport, but moved much quicker as you don't have to remove shoes, worry about liquids, etc. You also go through passport control on the departure side, so when you arrive in Paris (or Lille) you have already cleared customs and are quickly on your way.

I have found that Eurostar beats the airlines for center city to center city by about 90 minutes on average.
