Yes, I do. As a matter of fact, if I make a promise, I do everything in my power to keep it. Why? Because when I was growing up, my father made promises that he never kept. It left me and my brother feeling disappointed in a way that I would never want to make another person feel. I made up my mind when I was very young that you should never make a promise if you don't intend to keep it. So far, I'm 36 and have only broken two promises... and only because of a hospital stay and a death in the family, neither could be controlled... however, I did reschedule those events that I had to back out on.

I give people the benefit of the doubt when they make promises, but I always keep in mind that humans aren't perfect and it is easy to make a promise you can't keep. I don't like disappointments very much, so I don't really believe in promises. Although I have before 'made' some people promise me something... somehow it soothes the soul more to get a "yes" in the shape of a promise. Ain't that funny!

Yes. That's why it's hard to get a promise out of me.

I think we are only as good as our word. If I make a promise, I do everything in my ability to keep it. I do not understand how some ppl can make a promise and break it immediately. I won't trust them easily again.
Blessed Be

Yes. When one makes a promise, it should not be taken lightly. People get hurt when promises are broken.
May God bless you.
