i think that when a man is of the age he can financially and emotionally take on the responsibilities of marriage, then he's ready.
it could be 22, it could be 62! but what do i know?

It really depends on the guy. Although at 22 men really don't know what they want. I got married when I was 20. I love her very much, but 4 years and 2 kids later I realize that I wasn't ready to get married as young as I did. If your guy is anything that resembles the average male more than likely a few years down the road he will realize the same thing. I could be wrong though .

My husband was 26 when we got married. We had been together for 3 years before he asked me to marry him. I ask ed him why he waited so long and he said he wanted to make sure it was the right thing to do.....so your answer is that every guy is different some mature faster than others and maybe the guy you are talking about knows what he wants and doesn't want to lose it.

A lot of times guys want the convenience without making the commitment to a marriage. A high school kid may take the plunge at 21. A college kid may wait until 24.
Take your pick.

aroud the mid 20's to early 30's.... if ur friend is 22, I think he should give a lil bit more time before he proposes and if hes still in college and just starting a career, marrige is not the thing for him right now because it could get in the way of his career... he should wait maybe 2-3 yrs before anything happens, so his career can blossom first
