I have an interview scheduled next week with a casting director. This is my first interview. I've done some modeling work, but never got interviewed for it, I was discovered by a photographer. How should I dress for this interview? Just like any job interview? I thought since it's for movie, tv, extra work, and promotional casting there might be a more appropriate way to dress for these. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure what they are casting for, I think it's just a general interview to see what I'd be interested in and what I'd be eligible for.

Don’t go as to a regular interview. You can go modern cute not to reviling.
Sexy tasteful

Dress appropriate for your age and for the role. If the character is a beach bum, don't show up in a suit but dress cute casual. You never dress in full character unless it's appropriate to do so, but your agent should be able to give you some guidance since this is your first time. Didn't you take any classes or anything else to help you prepare? It seems odd that you'd be thrown into this without any preparation.

Ask if you can get the sides ahead of time so you at least be familiar with the material and the character (try to memorize, bit it's not necessary to do that completely). If you focus too much on that, you'll lose focus on the acting... Be friendly, courteous, and real. They want a nice person, who can act, and that they can envision working with for the next few days, weeks, or whatever.

good luck

Well, wear a sophisticated independant "business woman" outfit if your dead serious about the interview and really want the job, but if you take it lightly, go with how you feel about it! You can wear something that describes your personality like the "funky and original" look, or the "bubbly blonde" look.
It just matters how do you take it??

If you know what charactor they are looking to cast you for then I would be creative and try to look the part otherwise - business casual is fine.

dress casual. jeans and a plain t-shirt, nothing too fancy.
