While working in the restaurant business for a chain restauranti in the 1990's, I had "2 drunks come in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. One of the men was more drunk than the other, and he started hassling the other servers as well as myself. The men had ordered a breakfast off of the menu that consisted of "EGGS, AND FRIED CHICKEN". As I watched these 2 they continued to annoy the help, so I looked at everybody in the back of the restaurant, and said, "LET MOMMA HANDLE THIS SINCE I HAVE AM EX-HUSBAND, AND I USE TO BE A BARTENDER/COCKTAIL SERVER"!:O So I went to the table, and asked, "IS THERE A PROBLEM GENTLEMEN"?
And the man that was less sober looked up at me, and said, "WHY IS OUR FOOD RAKING SO LONG"? I took a deep breath, and said to him without cracking a smile, "DARLIN OUR RESTAURANT HAS AN OLD TRADITION HAVE THAT EVERY MORNING OUR COOKS HAVE TO CHASE OUR CHICKENS OUT IN THE PARKING EVERY MORNING, CATCH THEM, CUT THEIR HEADS OFF, AND THEN COOK THEM. SO THEY PROBABLY JUST HAVE NOT CAUGHT YOUR CHICKENS YET"!:Q And this guy looks up at me seriously, and says to me seriously, "OH REALLY"?:O
The other man looked like he was about to bust trying not to laugh, and the servers in the back of the restaurant we all on the floor laughing histerecally. I said to them I can just see this guy going to everyone of the restaurants in the chainn and asking all of the servers "DO YOUR COOKS REALLY CHASE, AND CATCH ALL OF THE CHICKENS THAT YOU SERVE AROUND THE PARKING LOT EVERY MORNING BEFORE YOU COOK THEM"?:O "In the words of Bill Engval, "WHAT A DORK"!:Q
