i think people are getting mixed up over posting sections, some said that they noticed this was in seniors, thats were i wanted it to go because you get the best answers to a serious question here, also thats why there are so few questions here, its because some think they have to be over 60 to put a question up here, now we know thats not the case, so every and any body who wants to get happy honest opinions.......POST HERE x x x x

I went to my G.P. (grumpy type who peered at you over his spectacles - looked liked Alistair Sim playing a judge) and he said "How old are you now?"
"40 and a bit" I said looking him straight in the face.
He looked puzzled, looked at my notes and said:
"That's not what it says here"
Straight in the face again, and said
"Well - it's quite a big bit"!
I'm 70 next birthday.
So, forever and ever, I shall remain, "40 and a bit"
So perhaps that will be my epitaph - "She said she was 40 and a bit"

Happy Birthday. Forty-five is sooo young.

Well, I don't know if I want to stay in 1984 forever, but it was one of my best years. My son was a twerp and my nephew lived with us. And of course I was a YOUNG 34!

We would go to Errol's and get videos on Friday nights, make buttered popcorn and watch movies like Back to the Future (their fave), Invasion USA, Red Dawn, and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes etc. We had such fun.

I enjoyed some of the music of the 80s and VH1 (which I can now get on cable), and I believed they had the best TV shows that families could watch together like Small Wonder, Silver Spoons, Family Matters, Full House and Perfect Strangers.

I was moving up in my job position also, and really loved going to work and being around my co-workers. We had gret office parties!

We traveled more with the kids and did a lot of things with them. My mom gave me good advice when she said to savor every moment you have with the young ones because they grow so fast. I am glad I listened and hoped I made good memories for them.

I would not trade those memories for anything.

Last year was the worst of my life-but this year started off great and has continued to be very good for me.....with a few isolated exceptions.

Not sure if I would want to stay 36 for the rest of my life but I'll be having a much better birthday than I did last year!

I am 41 but I liked being 29 the best. I loved that age - a very happy, carefree time for me. I am happy and carefree now but tend to worry about things more which sometimes stops me trying new things! Life is good for me - getting older has a lot of benefits - I like your idea of continuing to have birthdays but not getting older!

Good for you. I have just had a birthday and i feel i don't want to be any older and just stay this age, not far off you. I have the mind of someone younger anyway and thats how i would like to stay.

Yes,I am now 56 and my forties, which are so often dreaded were the best years. Such freedom. and wisdom. And I so agree with the good answers here, but then that shows the changes in the younger generation where so often it is "all about me" where as in the senior section it is often "can we help you" that is the way we were raised but it is out of style now. :)

Hi frenchmaid, I'm so happy you are in the best year of your life so far, I hope it only gets better as those birthdays come and go. Don't ever run out of fun and laughter, never mind how old you are! Sylvia x

lol i didn't notice this was in the senior citizens category until someone pointed that out. pretty funny to think of a 45 year old as a senior citizen.....ummm not quite. unless you already been 45 for like 20 years.......anyways, yea i would lovvvve to be like 20 for the rest of my life......that was a grrrreat age for me.....actually what i would really like even more is to live birth to 24 years old over and over again.

I'm 45, too, but I haven't experienced what you have. I've been through some traumatic loses and changes this year.
I am so glad you are having a great year, though. I'm glad you shared that with us. Perhaps next year will be even greater for us both!
