Unforunately he plays no longer, having died 4 years ago.

His principle instrument was oboe. If you saw him at a piano, most likely he was playing something that was "midi'd" up, so that he used the keyboard to trigger electronic musical events. This is very common nowadays, and given that in the past he collaborated with such musicians as David Bowie and Eric Clapton, highly likely.
