My husband and i have been happily married 16 yrs and i am 38 and he is 42..During most of our marriage i seemed to have a higher sex drive then him and his sex drive seemed lower then i read and heard about most men's but for the past 7-8 months his sex drive has gotten higher and mine has gotten lower..He said he wants me more and to make our sex life better..For yrs and yrs i waited for this change in him and now that it has finally happened it doesnt seem important or matter to me anymore and i dont know why cause i still love him more then anything and i still find him sexy and attractive and we make love 2-3 times a week and its still very satisfying but i dont seem to have the desire for sex like i did when i was in my mid-20's thru my 30's..So what is my problem.

The problem is that you have been together for 16 years and the relationship has changed. You got accustomed to not having sex as often as you like... and somewhere in the back of your mind, you might have subconsoiuly resented him for that. Now that he wants it, you feel like saying "well, where were you when it was me "wanting"? Love has nothing to do with sexual desire. I'm not saying that you want someone else, what I'm saying is, can all the statistics and listen to your own body. You are NOT in your 20's anymore and your body and needs have changed. Talk to him about how you feel and be thankful that after 16 years, you are still his one desire.
It sounds like you may need to explore and maybe try something different to help bring your OWN spark back.
Good luck

I don't think its a problem. Its a reason to explore more of eachother; emotionally and physically. You need to spice things up. Get creative, visit your local sex store or buy some books on what you can do TOGETHER to make things fun again. Good Luck!

It wouldn't hurt to get a checkup and make sure everything is okay. I know when your hormones change, it can change your sex drive. Maybe you are feeling more tired than usual, and don't have the energy you used to.Get with your doctor and see what he/she advises. A low testosterone level in men can also affect them. The hormone decreases in men as they get older.

simple,

YOUR NOT 20!!

that's all. Your NORMAL.
Your a woman, fake it (if you have time). I know women want all this romance and stuff but for the guys part, you just really have to be there. Sometimes we'll even start without you ! LOL
So if you have the time and nothing better to do, go for it.

Libido changes with age, hormone levels, and a bunch of other factors, and all kinds of other stuff. It's just a natural part of life.
