Mets. The Mets clearly have the best offense, the best bullpen, and the best pitching rotation, especially with Pedro coming back. The mets are going to the World Series.

I would agree that the Mets are a very good team but I have a feeling that the east might just go to the braves to about 2-3 games

This will be a real interesting race. I see the Braves falling out and it being a two horse race. The Phil's bats are heating up and they have Myers and Gordon coming back to solidify the bullpen. But the Mets have too much money to not get a RP. Their offense is also good enough to hang with anyone especially when they get their injured OFs back. I say Mets.

Even though they have been underperforming all year, I give the NL East to the Mets. Neither the Braves nor the Phillies have the pitching necessary to get ahead of the Mets, and ATL doesn't have the bats to keep up with NYM.
Plus, Pedro is coming back, and they only need him to be around 75% for his coming back to be a major improvement to their starting pitching.

the braves are done. they made a great 14 year stand winning each year but they are over. they dont have amazing pitching anynmore without glavine and maddux. a. jones bat has been slumping this year and chipper is plagued with injuries.themets are good but i still think (unbiasedly) that the phillies will take it this year. the mets have good young players in their lineup. but delgado is getting old and he is a key player to their success. reyes will bge good for a long time and so will wright. those 2 are their franchise players. beltran is good but hes not a superstar. his time has passed and hes not gonna pull out anyting spectacular in the future. the mets pitching will be solid for a while but el duque and pedro are getting old and so is glavine. that leaves them with john maine. now onto the phillies. we'll start with their outfield:
Aaron Rowand- a .320 hitter with enough power to crank out 20-25 homers in a year. he always hustles and makes circuis catches. he has a strong arm and good speed and smarts on the bases.
Shane Victorino- Amazing speed. good for 50 stolen bases in a year. a good .280 average and also good for 20 homers in a season. a great fielder and an absolute cannon arm.
Pat burrel- hes struggling this year but will still hit 20-25 homers.
Michael Bourn- good fielder. .280-.300 average and stupendous speed.
infield:
Ryan Howard- underrated fielder. smart player. capable of 40-45 homers this year and we all know he could hit 60. very able to hit .300 if he doesnt strikeout as much.
Chase Utley- .330 hitter. gonna have at least 30 homers and 140 rbi. great hustler and makes plays at second. can steal a bag too.
Jimmy Rollins- great power numbers this year. gonna hit around 30 long balls. great ss with a cannon arm. good average around .275 and great speed on the bases.
Abraham nunez- not the best power hitter like the rest of the club but has gone something lke 30 at bats without striking out. he puts the ball in play and can field anything.
Carlos Ruiz- Good for contact and a little power and has been clocked at 98 mph throwing down to second.
Pitching:
Cole Hamels- leads league in wins is second in srtikeouts and only needs 3 more to be in first. good hitter and goes deep into games.
Jamie Moyer- Keeps hitters off balance and will be a 15 game winner. veteran pitcher who knows what hes doing. also a good hitter.
the rest of the pitching speaks for itself and thats the only downside of the phillies. thats why the nl east division title is going to philly.

The Braves will win the East. They are on a role and can't be stopped. They are clearly the best team.

The Mets are the better of the three teams and I would expect them to win the division.

Mets....but they are trying hard to make it a race going into September. Only one team is making the playoffs out of the division.

Chances are the Mets are going to make a big move before the trade deadline...if that happens, it will only help them to win the division. I gotta go with the NY Mets
