Aol messenger not working!!?

it says 45 of 41 buddys are offine but i dont see any of the ones that are on...I can hear people log in and out but once again i dont see anyhing.. Ive reinstalled 3 times...Any ideas?

I don't know but my yahoo messenger don't let me get into chat, never!!!! that's why i don't use it anymore or any other messengers. They completely suck!!
